About the Centre

Christine Coleman Chichester Medical Education Centre (CMEC) is the home of the very active Chichester Dental Programme, which provides excellent facilities for teaching - using lecture, hands-on or live demonstration formats. On the ground floor are two tiered lecture theatres with the latest audiovisual equipment and several seminar rooms, whilst situated on the first floor are the Dental Teaching Facility and the Williams Room.

The main dental teaching facility has a demonstration workstation with audiovisual links to 10 student workstations each with flat screen video monitors. The room has surround sound audio. The other half of the room is a dedicated lecture area. The Williams Room is a fully equipped dental surgery with digital x-ray, microscope, video cameras and two way video/audio link which can be connected to either the Dental Teaching Facility or the Lecture Theatre to allow live demonstrations with direct interaction from course participants.
