CAL & E-Learning Programmes Available

The Department of Health supported the development of an on-going series of Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) programmes for dentists working in NHS primary care. These developments were coordinated by The National Centre for Continuing Professional Education of Dentists (NCCPED).

Any general dental practitioner can obtain copies of these programmes for use with their own computer equipment by emailing a request to DTA@kssdeanery.ac.uk. Please note this may be subject to a small administration fee of no more than £5.00.

DNART CD ROM

The Dental Nurse Access to Registration (DNART) CD ROM is for Dental Nurses to prove they have the skills and abilities needed in all six areas that the GDC states they must demonstrate competence in.

There are six modules and competence is assessed by section specific tests comprising multiple choice questions.

The cost is £5.00 per disk. Should you require one you will need to make a cheque out for £5.00 made payable to ‘UNIKENT’. You will then need to send this to the address below with a letter indicating what you are requesting and providing an address to which you would like the disk and receipt sent. Once this is received by KSS Deanery your CD ROM will be posted out to you.
