Message from the Dental Dean
Welcome to Dental Education in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery – a part of the South East Coast Strategic Health Authority (SHA).
The purpose of our activity is to assist with improving the Oral Health Care of people living in the region by commissioning and delivering targeted lifelong learning with Core Courses, Postgraduate Centre led courses, and special courses tailored for the dental team.
We have several key areas of operation:
- Vocational Training for Dentists
- Continuing Professional Development for Dentists, and the Dental Team
- Basic Training for Dental Nurses leading to Registration
- Clinical Governance Programme
- Senior House Officers (SHOs)
- Specialist Registrars (SpRs)
- Support for Overseas Dentists
