Dental Radiography
We are pleased to announce that Kent Surrey and Sussex Deanery are for the fifth time presenting a course for qualified dental nurses leading to the National Examining Board's Certificate for Dental Nurses in Dental Radiography. We are delighted to announce that 98% of the nurses were successful in the NEBDN examination after studying with us in 2006.

The seven study days are designed to prepare you for the theoretical aspect of the certificate. In addition to this we are offering full support from Dental Nurse Tutors who already hold the Certificate in Dental Radiography. They will help steer you and your supervising dentist in your own work environment through the 'Record of Experience'. This provides the portfolio of evidence necessary for completion of the certificate. The purpose of the 'Record of Experience'. The purpose of the 'Record of Experience' is for dental nurses to gain practical experience and competency in dental radiography techniques.
In line with recent GDC recommendations we are committed to continue professional development for the dental team. KSS makes a contribution towards the cost of this initiative so the fee per dental nurse is just £375 to include all course materials and refreshments at each of the seven formal training days.
This does not include the NEBDN examination fee which is £150. This will be payable to the NEBDN in November 2009 just before you take the examination.
Due to the individual support offered there are limited number of places available. We will start enrolment in JANUARY 2009 and the booking form will be available on this site from then.

Oral Health Education
From 2009 KSS Deanery is presenting a course of study leading to the NEBDN Post Certificate in Oral Health Education. This course is for qualified Dental Nurses who are registered with the GDC.

WHEN?- January - September 2009
Beginning in January 2009, successful students will sit the examination in September 2009. This course will provide at least 30 hours of Verifiable CPD. The course will run on alternate Wednesdays beginning January 2009.

KSS Deanery Conference 19 November 2008
We would like to invite you to the annual Deanery Dental Conference. For the third time we have brought together in one venue some excellent speakers and this year the theme is "Medical Emergencies" in the morning, and in the afternoon Dental Surgeons and Dental Care Professionals have their own seperate programme.
